Rate:                £11-14 per hour*

Hours:              Full Time; 20:45 – 07:45 – 4 Nights On, 4 Nights Off

Start Date:       ASAP

Duration:         Temp to Perm

Our client, a respected national charity who provide support, advocacy and safe housing to vulnerable clients are looking to recruit a Night Assistant Support Worker for their Supported Housing Service in Bath.

Synopsis of duties:

  • Provide assistance with the Housing Management functions in the accommodation and will be required to assess any out of hours referrals received and welcome new residents who often arrive in the early hours.
  • You will ensure the welfare and wellbeing of the residents over the course of the evening and at night where required, offering support and ensuring they are able to discuss any concerns or worries whilst ensuring their safety at all times
  • Manage enquiries relating to available accommodation and facilitating access to emergency accommodation if needed.
  • Update database, record messages, conduct follow up telephone calls, update log books and handover reports
  • Complete building checks which may include patrols of the building and ensuring fire exits and external doors are free from obstruction
  • Maintaining Health & Safety records
  • Work with clients to resolve conflict using de-escalation skills where deemed appropriate
  • Promoting the service and ensuring clients have access to all available services and working closely with a range of partners, agencies and services

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of working in an accommodation-based service for vulnerable clients along with experience of working in a busy environment dealing with telephone and face to face enquiries, engaging with clients, colleagues and external visitors.
  • Able to work 4 nights on and 4 nights off
  • Enhanced DBS and must have been either issued within the last twelve months or be registered on the update service
