Rate:                           £22-26phr

Duration:                    6 – 9 Months (Possible Extension/ Permanent Opportunity)

 

Our client, a well-respected charity is looking for a Project Manager to join their dedicated and compassionate team, working with people impacted by disadvantage, youth violence, long term unemployment and offending across Yorkshire.

 

For over 50 years, they have provided support to more than 15,000 people each. Their priority remains to empower people to overcome injustices for themselves, their families, and their local communities.

 

Synopsis of duties:

  • Manage and lead on the performance and quality of a diverse range of services across West Yorkshire including providing performance monitoring to various commissioners and funders, managing project budgets, ensuing quality of service delivery and support the mobilisation of new projects
  • Monitoring and working towards achieving contractual and organisational KPIs, the submission of data and reports, internally and externally.
  • Develop positive and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including lead partners and subcontractors.
  • Attend commissioner meetings, reporting on service performance.
  • Develop effective relationships with external stakeholders, developing service referral pathways.
  • Supporting mobilisation of new services.
  • Manage operational and regulatory risks in relation to safeguarding, EDI, data protection and health and safety, escalating as appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with other managers, attending and presenting at meetings, working groups and other forums for sharing good practice, facilitating working towards common goals. 
  • Provide line management support and leadership to team of service delivery staff, ensuring compliance with organisational performance management framework.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple contracts, particularly towards the achievement of KPIs.
  • Experience of setting up and establishing new services.
  • You will be a skilled communicator and collaborator, able to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and partners
  • Experience of project management and PRINCE 2 principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience of working with clients involved in the criminal justice system, experiencing domestic abuse, long-term unemployment, facing food poverty and those at risk of exploitation and harm.
  • Ability to manage contracts that achieve their KPI’s whilst maintaining quality.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding responsibilities when working with children and adults at risk.
  • Experience of people management, including successful implementation of performance management frameworks.
  • Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months and/ or registered on the DBS Update Service
  • Car Driver with Access to a Vehicle daily for work purposes
  • Available to start in April /May 2023
