Rate: £26,820 - £28,429

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours
Our client, a specialist Domestic Violence charity based in the Black Country, is looking for an exceptional candidate with experience of research and analysis.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of sex work, sexual exploitation and experience of working with vulnerable people with complex needs. There will be opportunities for progression for the right candidate.
Synopsis of duties:
- The Research and Engagement Officer will research, analyse and manage the collection of intelligence on sex work, modern slavery and all types of female exploitation in the West Midlands
- The Research and Engagement Officer will assist in training and developing the team, and where appropriate partners
- Assist in local strategic partnerships developing strategies and operational responses based upon evidence and sensitive data capture
- You will work with statutory partners as necessary eg joint visits, warrants overseeing the support to potential victims of exploitation and link victims to pathways for help and support such as the National Referral Mechanism (NRM)
- Liaise with local, regional, national partners and UK law enforcement
Essential Requirements:
- Experience of research and analysis
- Knowledge of sex work and sexual exploitation
- Understanding of trauma informed approaches
- Knowledge of the Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy and the gendered nature of violence.
- Have knowledge and experience of applying health and safety, GDPR compliance and management
- Understanding of diversity and appreciation of culture in working with communities
