Salary:        25,500

Duration:   Fixed Term until Dec 2024

Hours:        37.5 hours per week

 

Our client, a well-respected charity, dedicated to supporting victims of crime and traumatic incidents, are looking for a CYP Caseworker to join their team.

 

You would be supporting children and young people who have been impacted by Domestic Abuse.

 

Synopsis of duties:

  • Supporting children and young people affected by domestic abuse
  • Making initial contact with victims of crime, conducting risk assessments and tailored support plans
  • Developing and delivering innovative interventions to address the needs of children and young people who been victims of crime
  • Managing a caseload of children and young people and providing tailored support to meet their individual needs
  • Following safeguarding procedures, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Providing information and advocacy to service users and providing support through the Criminal Justice System
  • Signposting service users to external agencies/professionals for further support with complex needs
  • Multiagency working to improve the outcomes for the children and young people

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with vulnerable children and young people who have experienced trauma
  • Must understand the impact of crime on victims, such as: Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence, Hate Crime and Antisocial Behaviour)
  • Experience managing a caseload
  • Experience conducting risk and needs assessments
  • Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System
  • Must drive and have access to a vehicle
  • Must have an enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service
