Based:            London (Hybrid working available – approximately 2 days from home per week)

Rate:               £48,000 – 58,000 pa

Our client is looking for an inspiring Head of Service to led and develop their domestic abuse services across London.

 

They are looking to recruiting a proactive and solution-focused Senior Manager with a proven track record of operational management and strategic leadership within the VAWG sector and/ or public sector.  

 

Their ideally candidate will have a proven track record of managing services that support and advocate on behalf of women and/ or children who have experienced trauma.

 

They are looking for a visionary leader who has a passion for supporting women and girls to live free from abuse and fear.

Synopsis of duties:

• Responsible for the operational management and strategic leadership of their domestic abuse services across London
• Line managing and performance managing staff, including annual appraisals and supervision, ensuring staff training and development needs are regularly evaluated and that appropriate training, coaching and learning opportunities are provided
• Responsible for building strong relationships with voluntary and statutory partners and funders, including over 10 specialist partner organisations, Local Authorities, the Home Office, MOPAC, Greater London Authority, the Metropolitan Police and a number of trusts and foundations
• Working alongside the CEO, Directors and Trustees, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high quality services aligned with Advance’s strategic aims
• Representing the organisation externally on service development groups and conferences
• Working as part of the SMT, liaise with staff at all levels, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure delivery of organisational strategic objectives, plans, services and priorities
• Manage programme budgets to a high standard, communicating funding streams and ensuring regular budget reviews and delivery of agreed budgets

 

Essential Requirements:

• Senior Management experience (both operational management and strategic leadership) within the VAWG sector or a related sector (including supported housing, family support, social services and advocacy)
• Significant experience of working with women and/ or children with a complex range of needs and an understanding of trauma informed support
• Experience of performance management and supervision of staff
• Experience of managing and working within budgets and of tendering/fundraising processes
