Salary:                        £42,000pa – Negotiable based on experience

As a People Manager, you'll be the driving force behind their HR services, ensuring their dedicated staff have the support they need to empower others. From recruitment to learning and development, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the mission-driven organisation.

Synopsis of duties:

  • You will establish a welcoming working environment and provide strong leadership with a high-level service to the People team ensuring they have the skills, resources and knowledge to carry out their roles effectively as well as the wider organisation.  
  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a comprehensive, high quality and clients focused HR service delivery across the organisation, that demonstrates, reflects and promotes their mission, values, and strategic aims.  
  • You will lead on and manage aspects of Safeguarding, GDPR relating to People, Learning, Development, Recruitment & Selection. 
  • People Managers provide a high-level quality service on employee relation issues to ensure these are resolved speedily in line with statutory requirements and best practice.  
  • You will work with the Head of HR in developing and reviewing HR Strategy, policies and Strategic plans. 
  • Ensuring new starters are positively integrated into their role, team and the organisation by way of excellent onboarding 
  • Ensuring the offboarding process is handled in a manner that is consistent in fair treatment and in line with policies and procedures 
  • Overseeing performance management and using data to identify effective training plans 

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive managerial experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices
  • Proven track record in coordinating learning and development programs
  • Excellent communication and decision making skills
  • Strives for continuous improvement and has the ability to identify ways to deliver solutions and make appropriate recommendations 
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity an inclusion
  • CIPD Level 5 or above
  • Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months and/ or registered on the DBS Update Service
  • Available to start ASAP and committed to fulfilling the 12-month contract
