DAHA Coordinator
Role: DAHA Coordinator
Based: Nottingham
Rate: £18 phr UMB
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Temp (6 months possible extension)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Our client, a well-respected charity, dedicated to supporting victims of domestic abuse, are looking for a DAHA Coordinator to join their team.
Synopsis of duties:
- To oversee the DAHA foundational accreditation process for South Nottinghamshire Local Authorities and ensure compliance with the DAHA standards framework to embed an effective, consistent, survivor-led response that prevents escalation of harm and holds perpetrators to account.
- Evaluate initial practices against DAHA standards by identifying the gaps in the housing provider’s response through the DAHA Health-check process.
- Establish the strategic and operational boards, mapping and scoping the project work needed to address the gaps in response to survivors, undertaking a staff survey and feedback sessions, conducting case reviews, undertaking external partner feedback sessions and data analysis.
- Develop and deliver training programs and inductions for the local authorities’ teams on domestic abuse best practices
- Develop the housing teams to recognise perpetrators as the cause of harm, hold them to account for their behaviour and that any enforcement or tenancy action taken against them is survivor-led.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience and working knowledge of domestic abuse
- Strong working knowledge of housing legislation and homelessness act
- Delivering training/ programmes and strong communication/ organisation skills
- Must drive and have access to a vehicle
- Must have an enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service
