Duration:       3 months

Hours:             37.5 hours per week  Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (home-based) 2-3 days a month in office/community

Our client is looking for a Floating Support Worker to join their team.

 Synopsis of Duties

  • Supporting clients in safe accommodation, so lower risk. Helping with a variety, legal aid, helping court, immigration issues, no recourse to public funds, risk assessment, and safety planning. 
  • To ensure all monitoring information and evidence is being recorded and collated in line with agreed processes and procedures
  • To support positive working relationships with statutory and non-statutory agencies
  • To produce support plans and risk management plans based on assessments. To promote inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and to include appropriate agencies in the delivery of the service
  • To develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies
  • To close cases efficiently and positively, including identifying a referral route for young people when required
  • Offer advice to young people to prevent homelessness wherever possible.
  • To accurately and regularly collect information and evidence to support with the monitoring and the evaluation of the service
  • To carry out any other similar duties as required and be flexible to the changing needs of this new, fast paced service

 Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working in Domestic Abuse
  • Substantial experience of providing support, advice and advocacy and communicating effectively, the needs of young people to other professionals
  • Experience in working as part of a multiagency team, working together to achieve positive outcomes
  • Substantial experience of assessing risk and implementing safety procedures
  • Experience of using support plans to successfully access and sustain accommodation and support services
  • DBS less than 6 months old or on the update service
  • Available immediately
