Role: Floating Support Worker

Based: Pan-London

ate: £19 - £20 umb

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (home-based) 2-3 days a month in office/community

Our client is looking for a Floating Support Worker to join their team.

Synopsis of Duties

Supporting clients in safe accommodation, so lower risk. Helping with a variety, legal aid, helping court, immigration issues, no recourse to public funds, risk assessment, and safety planning.
To ensure all monitoring information and evidence is being recorded and collated in line with agreed processes and procedures
To support positive working relationships with statutory and non-statutory agencies
To produce support plans and risk management plans based on assessments. To promote inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and to include appropriate agencies in the delivery of the service
To develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies
To close cases efficiently and positively, including identifying a referral route for young people when required
Offer advice to young people to prevent homelessness wherever possible.
To accurately and regularly collect information and evidence to support with the monitoring and the evaluation of the service
To carry out any other similar duties as required and be flexible to the changing needs of this new, fast paced service

Essential Requirements:

Experience working in Domestic Abuse
Substantial experience of providing support, advice and advocacy and communicating effectively, the needs of young people to other professionals
Experience in working as part of a multiagency team, working together to achieve positive outcomes
Substantial experience of assessing risk and implementing safety procedures
Experience of using support plans to successfully access and sustain accommodation and support services
DBS less than 6 months old or on the update service
Available immediately
