Hours:              37 hours

 

Our client, a leading domestic abuse charity, are looking for an Accommodation Officer to join their team.  

 

This role involved being responsible for the safe running of refuge spaces.

 

Synopsis of duties:

• To be responsible for inducting new residents into the refuge, who are fleeing domestic abuse.
• To introduce new residence to their Key Worker/Children’s Worker and book an appointment the following day.
• Ensure all welcome packs & victims Chater are up to date and provided to all new residents.
• Show fire escape routes and ensure that they are aware of health and safety procedures.
• Helping run the DVA course with residents.
• Completing health and safety checks for all 3 sights.
• Responsible for general house maintenance and coordination of maintenance works and repairs.
• Responsible for conducting periodic checks of bedrooms and communal areas.

 

Essential Requirements:

• Preferable experience working in a supported accommodation setting
• Knowledge of domestic abuse.
• Must be a driver with access to a vehicle.
• Must have a DBS on the update service
