Rate:                  £36,547 - £39,372 (£29,632.70 - £31,923.24 pro rata)

Hours:               Part-Time – 30 hours

Our client, a specialist Domestic Violence charity, is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team.

Synopsis of duties:

  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of grant, trust, and tender applications.
  • Undertake regular horizon scanning and pipeline planning for new and existing funds, and maintain a dynamic approach to sourcing funding opportunities
  • Prepare written materials, including press releases and annual reports, which aid in conveying core activities and promote organisational activities
  • Raise awareness of support services available to individuals affected by domestic abuse.
  • Work in accordance with organisational policies, procedures, values, and ethos.
  • Attend management meetings as required.
  • Support and collaborate with volunteers.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, supervision, appraisals, training, and other relevant activities.
  • Take responsibility for ongoing professional development.
  • Ensure client confidentiality is maintained in line with policy.
  • Provide cover for colleagues during absences such as sickness or leave, as directed by management.
  • Carry out other duties relevant to the scope and responsibilities of the role, as needed

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of bid-writing and/or involvement in compiling tender and grant application responses.
  • Familiarity with data collection and analysis – support with the development of funding applications and reports
  • Strong research skills to identify funding prospects that lead to viable funding responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of the local and national commissioning landscape in relation to the VAWG sector
  • Line management experience (staff supervision and appraisals)
