Outreach Worker - Home Safety Specialist

Role:               Outreach Worker (Adults) and Home Safety Worker  

Based:            Hart, Rushmoor and East Hants

Rate:                  £25,750 - £26,383 per annum

Duration:        Permanent

Hours:             Full Time (37 hours)

 

Our client, a specialist Domestic Violence charity, is looking to recruit an Outreach Worker and Home Safety Worker to join their team.

 

Synopsis of duties:

• To provide support, advice and assistance to women, men and their families who have experienced domestic abuse or are at risk of domestic abuse. 
• The post-holder will coordinate providing enhanced security at client’s homes across Hampshire through “target hardening” of the property and the provision of safety equipment
• The work will focus on preventing domestic abuse by providing enhanced security at client’s homes for victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
• The post-holder will work within the community, with families who have moved out of refuge, women and men who make contact via the Stop Domestic Abuse’s Advice Line or are referred from other agencies.

 

Essential Requirements:

• Preffered experience of using power rools.
• Experience of safeworking in client homes.
• Knowledge of domestic abuse and housing issues affecting families fleeing domestic abuse.
• Must have a UK driving license and access to car.
