💰£14.50 - £18.00 ( dependent on pay status)
🕒 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Main Purpose
To provide practical, emotional, and developmental support to women and children affected by domestic abuse, ensuring a safe and supportive refuge environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate refuge services to ensure effective day-to-day running
- Deliver support across refuge and dispersed accommodation
- Manage referrals, admissions, and support planning
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and monitoring data
- Facilitate house meetings and support children’s development
- Liaise with external agencies and represent residents where appropriate
- Contribute to service development, training, and policy implementation
- Support volunteers and colleagues
- Ensure safeguarding, confidentiality, equality, and health & safety standards are upheld
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with vulnerable adults and children
- Understanding of domestic abuse and its impact
- Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills
- Ability to assess needs and provide tailored support
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding, and equality
Additional Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable
- Enhanced DBS check dated within the last 12 months or on the Update Service required.
