Modern Slavery Safehouse Advocate
Location: West Midlands
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £25,287.91 - £27,993.18 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (37.5 hours)
A specialist support organisation is seeking a Modern Slavery Safehouse Advocate to provide frontline support to victims of modern slavery and human trafficking within safehouse accommodation services.
The successful candidate will support clients through their recovery journey by providing practical and emotional support, risk and needs assessments, safety planning, and multi-agency advocacy within a trauma-informed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of victims of modern slavery and human trafficking
- Complete risk and needs assessments, support plans, and journey planning
- Support clients to access ECAT entitlements and external support services
- Provide emotional and practical support within safehouse accommodation
- Support move-ins, inductions, safeguarding, and move-on arrangements
- Work closely with partner agencies and attend multi-agency meetings
- Maintain health and safety standards within accommodation services
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records
Requirements
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults and/or children
- Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and risk assessment
- Understanding of modern slavery, trafficking, or exploitation issues
- Strong communication, partnership working, and caseload management skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Enhanced DBS check required
