Role: Supported Housing Manager

Salary: £38,000 rising to £39,500 after 12 months

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: Temp to Perm | Permanent

Our client, a specialist supported housing provider, is looking to recruit an experienced Supported Housing Manager to lead an established complex needs and homelessness service.

This is a hands-on management position requiring an experienced and approachable people manager who can lead a varied team while maintaining strong oversight of service delivery, housing management, safeguarding, performance and contractual requirements.

Alongside managing the service, the postholder will retain a small caseload of approximately 3-5 clients.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, supporting and developing a varied service team
  • Providing regular supervision, performance management and reflective support
  • Managing service performance, budgets and contractual requirements
  • Maintaining oversight of safeguarding, risk and complex cases
  • Ensuring high standards of housing management, property compliance and health and safety
  • Developing effective relationships with Local Authorities, commissioners and other stakeholders
  • Monitoring KPIs and ensuring contractual outcomes are achieved
  • Overseeing referrals, caseloads, support planning and risk management
  • Supporting a positive, inclusive and accountable team culture
  • Participating in an on-call management rota

The successful candidate will have substantial people management experience and a background within supported housing, homelessness, complex needs or another relevant service.

You will be a confident and supportive manager, comfortable managing different personalities and able to build trust and credibility within an established team.

Strong knowledge of housing, budgets, safeguarding, performance and stakeholder management will be important, alongside the ability to work effectively with Local Authorities and commissioners.

A full UK driving licence is essential.
