Role: Complex Needs Support Worker

Salary: £29,000 rising to £30,000 after 12 months

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: Temp to Perm | Permanent

Shifts: 8:30am-4:30pm / 12pm-8pm on a four-week rota

Requirement: Driver essential

Our client, a specialist provider of supported housing services, is looking to recruit several Complex Needs Support Workers to join an established service supporting people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage.

Working with a manageable caseload, you will provide practical and person-centred support to male and female adults and families with a range of complex needs, which may include mental health, substance misuse, addiction and offending histories.

Duties will include:

  • Managing a caseload and providing regular outreach support across the service
  • Completing needs and risk assessments, support plans and regular reviews
  • Supporting clients around housing, finances, benefits, health and independent living
  • Working with individuals who may present with complex and challenging needs
  • Supporting clients to maintain their accommodation and work towards positive move-on
  • Working closely with statutory and voluntary sector partners
  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring safeguarding concerns are appropriately managed

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience supporting people with complex or multiple needs
  • Experience within homelessness, supported housing, outreach, substance misuse, mental health, offending or a related service
  • Confidence working independently with clients in the community
  • Strong risk assessment and safeguarding knowledge
  • A trauma-informed and non-judgemental approach
  • A full UK driving licence
