Based: 3 days in office in London and 2 days from Home Working
Qualifications: SafeLives (previously CAADA) and/ or DAPA is highly desirable

We are recruiting for London based experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVA) on behalf of a national Advocacy Charity.
Our client has advocated on behalf of victims of abuse and violence for over 40 years and works alongside partners to ensure clients receive a comprehensive support and advocacy package.
Synopsis of duties:
- Providing a high-quality frontline service to victims experiencing domestic violence, delivering a service to those at highest risk
- Providing short, medium and longer-term interventions which enable them to be safer, achieve better health and wellbeing and longer-term autonomy and resilience
- Managing a high caseload of clients that are deemed high-risk
- Carrying out risk and needs assessments (including CAADA DASH RIC assessments)
- Supporting clients through the Criminal Justice System including processing DIY injunctions, advising on criminal and civil remedies, arranging for special measures at Court, advising on possible outcomes and accompanying and supporting pre, during and post trial
- Agreeing support and safety plans
- Attending MARAC meetings on a weekly basis and advocating on clients behalf
- Working closely with a range of partners and advocating on client behalf as and when required
Essential Requirements:
- Experience of supporting and advocating on behalf of high-risk victims of domestic violence
- Ability to crisis manage and work well under pressure
- Strong organisation and diary management skills
- Proven track record of successfully carrying and managing a high caseload
