Role:                           Area Manager – Supported Housing

Based:                        London (Flexible on location and some remote working)

Rate:                           £49,584 per annum

Start Date:                  August 2021

Duration:                    12 Month Fixed Term Contract – Sept 2022

 

Our client, a large Housing Provider are looking for an Area Manager for a period of 12 months, covering maternity leave.

For over 50 years, they have provided support to more than 10,000 people each. Their priority remains to meet the needs and aspirations of those who need support and those who find themselves in crisis, so that they can fulfil their potential and have lives beyond crisis.

 

Synopsis of duties:

  • Responsible for 3 direct reports that oversee Domestic Abuse Refuges, Community Services including Floating Support, Exiting Sex Worker, FGM, Gender-Based violence and Referral Line
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve service delivery
  • Identify new business opportunities, develop funding proposals and bids
  • Ensuring that services meet their contractual and legal obligations
  • Ensure that performance related procedures are effectively implemented across each area; regular supervisions, learning and development needs assessed and met, CPD
  • Conduct regular management quality audits
  • Financial Responsibilities and Management of Resources
  • Ensure all housing management functions are carried out to a high standard in all accommodation service, voids and arrears are kept within target levels and referral and move-on procedures operate effectively
  • Hold regular management meetings, organise and engage with Service & Project reviews and lead on local audits

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven track record of developing and managing VAWG services (including Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse, Stalking and Harassment and Trafficking), designing and developing funding proposals and bids and of effecting quality improvement.
  • Understanding of the strategic environment in which care and support services are being delivered and the implications for the organisation
  • Ability to manage a range of staff with varied skill sets delivering a variety of services, able to motivate and encourage teams in a professional and positive manner
  • Ability to use IT to support both scrutiny and delivery of work, including using new systems
  • Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months and/ or registered on the DBS Update Service
  • Available to start in August 2021
