Role: Independent Sexual Violence Advocate - ISVA
Based: Wiltshire – South West England
Rate: £12-15 per hour (dependent upon experience and qualifications)
Qualifications: Recognised Accredited ISVA Qualification is highly desirable

Our client, a charity that provides individual and family support to domestic abuse and sexual violence victims and their children, is looking to recruit an experienced ISVA to join their specialist team in Wiltshire.
Synopsis of duties:
- Providing a pro-active service to victims of sexual violence within and outside of the criminal justice system
- Advocating on behalf of adult male and female victims of sexual assault and rape (both recent and historic)
- Ensuring clients that have been referred to the service are contacted within 24 hours where possible
- Carrying out risk assessments, support needs analysis and safety and support plans are developed
- Managing a high caseload of clients
- Advising supporting clients through the Criminal Justice System and ensuring their voice is heard
- Working with partner agencies to enable clients to access additional services including therapeutic, housing, immigration, substance misuse, mental health and legal
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive experience of working with victims of sexual violence and/or gender-based violence (including domestic abuse, CSE and Trafficking)
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of child protection, safeguarding, safety planning, risk assessments, Criminal and Civil Justice Systems
- Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months and/ or registered on the DBS Update Service
- Full driving licence, business insurance and the use of a road worth vehicle
