Hours:             Full Time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

The Senior Research and Engagement Officer will join the highly regarded Community Engagement Project run by our client. The project conducts innovative work to identify and support women who are sexually exploited in the West Midlands. They are a small, passionate team working on the front line. Although they are an independent charity, they work closely with law enforcement and partner agencies. They work on-the-ground in communities, and combine this with OSINT and traditional research methods to identify victims of organised crime.

This is a unique, exciting and rewarding role, allowing the successful candidate to make a significant contribution to tackling exploitation. The role provides the opportunity to combine desk-based research on sexual exploitation with face-to-face work with victims and survivors. You will be involved in a variety of activities, including (but not limited to):

  • Visits to sex work locations throughout the West Midlands and, occasionally, elsewhere in the UK
  • Support for victims
  •  Joint working with police and partner agencies
  •  OSINT collection and analysis
  • Qualitative data collection and analysis
  •  Delivering training to law enforcement on sexual exploitation
  •  Involvement in our client's Romania Project, aimed at tackling the trafficking of women from Romania to the UK

We are seeking a candidate with experience of research and data analysis. Experience of working with vulnerable victims is desirable, as is knowledge of sex work, modern slavery and sexual exploitation.

Some working from home is possible when schedules allow.
